Hello faithful blog readers! (Aka family members & Facebook/Instagram friends who read this when I post about it once a year ;))
Hope you're all doing well and gearing up for Fall (my favorite season!)
This is a heads up that I've added new images to the Film sections of the following pages : Animals and Nature! As always, I've moved all the new photos up to the top of the pages, and changed the headers on each page - Which I do every time I get enough rolls of film developed for some new decent header images!
Another reminder - All of the pictures on my Website are unedited, because I am a purist when it comes to film photography & I believe the magic & science of film should not be messed with outside the confines of a darkroom - And as I do not have one yet (:(), my purism & laziness have left me with unedited - Possibly underexposed, darkened images - But to me it's all part of the 35mm fun! Experimenting with techniques with the camera & film, learning how to edit things right in the camera with the use of lighting & exposures.
Thanks for listening, friends! Hopefully I'll have more film & words for you soon!
Until next time,
Hello! Happy Spring to all - There's been plentiful budding trees & daffodils popping up in good ol' Pennsylvania.
I've been doing some "Spring cleaning" and therefore cleaned out my digital camera & updated the following sections on my website: Nature (digital) & Animals (digital) - Please check it out & let me know what you think! I'm definitely way more comfortable shooting with film, but trying to pick up my digital camera more & more.
Hope you're all well & Got through the Winter doldrums okay - I'm so very glad to breathe the fresh Spring air & await the new life and meaning Spring provides to the Earth & soul.
Hello, lovely friends!
I realize I haven't updated my website in far too long and for that I apologize. But, good news - It's updated! I got rolls of film developed so new pictures were added to every film section of each page & some shots were added to the digital download store! (& Yes, I do in fact realize that I have a light leak "problem" in my beloved Minolta x-700...but I'm kind of thinking it's not a problem and just adds character. What do you think?)
Darren & I took a two week vacation to Arizona (for my brother's wedding) so you will see some desert-y shots as well as good old back East shots.
Hope you're all well & aren't stressing out too much about the Holiday's - Remember to pet a sheep and eat chocolate to keep your cool. Merry Christmas to you & yours and best wishes for the New Year!
P.S. For much more regular updates, follow me on Instagram @thesecondgleam
I finally sent out some rolls of film to be developed (that stuff gets so expensive - but it is so incredibly worth it!) and I also downloaded images from my digital camera - so, in other words, I updated the website! Check out the top of the columns for the sections 'Animals - Film and Animals - Digital & Nature - Film to see some new(ish) work! Let me know what you think. Here's some of my personal favorites from the update:
Let me know what you think and if you think this website could use any improvements.
Howdy there! I added a digital print store to the website. This means that if you purchase/download an image (all images are $10), you get a high quality image download instantaneously! Some of the images are 35mm, some digital (they are noted which ones are 35mm.) So download away and feel free to use them to print, create, and have fun! There's so many cool DIY's these days you can use images for (and the World could use more creativity! Have at it!)
If you see an image on my website you'd like to download that isn't in my print shop, let me know which one & I'll list it for you!
Hello there, I'm glad you're here!
I'll be using this blog to post new & extra photos, because you can never have too many sheep photos (& I've taken about 5,000 and need somewhere to share them!)
Thanks for spending the time to check out my webpage, Have a lovely week!
